Together, As One

8th Biennial Farmworker Housing Conference, OR

Pavilion Construction Press Release 7.13.11 – For immediate release

Over the past few years the ebb and flow of the economy has shifted the way individuals and businesses think. Often, it can be a true testament to a company’s strength and character when they are presented with difficult or challenging times. In what some say may be one of the toughest economic times in Oregon in several generations, the 8th Biennial Farmworker Housing Asset & Property Management Conference offered a place to come together and collaborate on how our services can continue to enrich the lives of our fellow Oregonians.

The conference was jointly sponsored by CASA of Oregon and by the Office of Rural and Farmworker Housing (ORFH) at the Eagle Crest Resort this past May in Redmond, OR. In the three days of gathering at the conference individuals and businesses alike were given the opportunity to foster new relationships and build upon existing ones. There were approximately 150 individuals at the conference representing over 40 businesses and organizations. Brian Kent (Project Executive) and Daryl Retzlaff (Project Manager) were in attendance on behalf of Pavilion Construction. “The conference was well attended,” mentioned Retzlaff. “It was an intimate atmosphere, we were delighted to be there,” said Kent.

The 8th Biennial Farmworker Housing Conference was a tremendous benefit to its attendees. The intimate atmosphere was ideal for Pavilion Construction. The personal setting facilitated collaboration and presented the opportunity to share knowledge and gain further insight to the specific challenges farmworker housing projects are faced with. Professional panels addressed these issues and also focused on the necessary steps that would best resolve them.

The importance of attending conferences like the 8th Biennial Farmworker Housing Conference is essential. They provide an outlet to new markets, help improve upon existing relationships and fasten new ones, and furthermore they enrich awareness and understanding of the communities we serve.
