Pavilion Construction has recently been announced as the general contractor for another Head Start facility in Oregon. “I am truly happy we have a second opportunity to work with Head Start program and give back to the kids and their parents.” says Pavilion Project Executive Brian Kent. The McMinnville Head Start is one of the oldest centers in the area. Its walls are imbedded with the sounds of laughing children, and in the following months the center will receive an extensive interior and exterior renovation to make certain the laughter will continue to be heard.
The Head Start of Yamhill project includes a 3,964 sq. ft. existing building renovation plus a newly constructed add-on wood framed segment of 3,114 sq. ft. The major renovations and addition to the facility will double the amount of classroom space that it currently provides, which in turn will allow more children to participate in the McMinnville Head Start program. Exterior improvements entail new landscaping, asphalt paving, roofing, siding, windows, doors, awnings and paint. High efficiency mechanical and plumbing systems and photovoltaic solar panels will be installed to meet the sustainable standards set by other Head Start facilities. The buildings will also receive new drywall, doors and millwork, painting, electrical, a new playground facility and larger parking area. Surely, the impact this project will have in the McMinnville community will be great. Pavilion Construction is truly honored to play a part in the renovation to the McMinnville Head Start Facility.
